For the back features I used a black exposed zipper and it gives the dress a modern edge. I enjoy a challenging sew, and this one made me bring out my A game! Pleased to level up on what and how to "staystitch". There are also a lot of understitch techniques in the dress. I realised that I haven't shared the details of the dress that I paired with the blazer. Here is the Josephine Dress, a sophisticated outfit that still preserve its vintage style. Love the elegant look of the boat neck and it pairs perfectly with the tailored cap sleeve. The bodice features princess seams that gives the garment a strong sense of femininity. Did you remember about the blazer that I sew last week? Here it is! The agony over deciphering the pattern and going thru the sewing instructions was well worth it. I am so pleased with the result and so is Aira. She got the part as a TV interviewer in for class presentation.
